BBL Enterotube II prepared multimedia tube.
For the rapid identification of Enterobacteriaceae.The BBL ENTEROTUBE is a self-contained, compartmented plastic tube which contains 12 different growth media and an enclosed inoculating needle. The BD Enterotube™ II system permits simultaneous inoculation of the separate media from a single colony and shows results from 15 standard biochemical tests: glucose, gas production, lysine decarboxylase, ornithine decarboxylase, H2S, indole, adonitol, lactose, arabinose, sorbitol, Voges-Proskauer, dulcitol, phenylalanine deaminase, urea and citrate. The color and biochemical reaction results allows identification of specific Enterobacteriaceae.
