Provides a sterile-packed syringe and needle.These sterile collection vials contain a pre-reduced transport medium to sustain microorganisms during transport from collection site /patient to the laboratory. Viability of a wide variety of anaerobic, facultative and aerobic organisms can be maintained for up to 72 hours at 20° to 25°C. For isolation and identification of the microorganisms, the specimen must then be removed from the transport container and cultured on appropriate diagnostic growth media once in the laboratory. Sterile peel pouches contain one 5mL vial and one 5cc BD Luer-Lok™ syringe with 22G needle. Each set includes 10 envelopes.
